Amanda McFadyen
We are thrilled to welcome Amanda to the team! Amanda has over 15 years of extensive experience providing therapy to children (10+), teens and adults for trauma, relationships (including couples counselling), attachment, addiction, anxiety, depression and grief. Amanda’s wealth of knowledge is amplified by her warm and caring presence that quickly puts her clients at ease.
Amanda is a licensed social worker in the province of Ontario, and holds a MSW from the University of Windsor. Her undergraduate degree is in Family and Community Social Services from the University of Guelph. She has also completed level two training in Gottman method couples therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy, and utilizes DBT and CBT skills in her sessions. Amanda also shares her valuable knowledge as an instructor at Conestoga College, and through offering clinical supervision to other therapists.
Her experience ranges from intimate partner violence, child protection, establishing social navigation programs and policy in primary care settings, and developmental services. She is also a member of the LGBTQ2+ community and is neurodivergent.
